The 28,000 square feet new terminal building includes two airline ticketing facilities, expanded passenger screening facilities, larger passenger waiting area with rest rooms, expanded baggage claim area, three car rental counters, and space allocated for restaurant/eating facility with windows facing the air field.

Increased security components, expanded TSA passenger screening area, and TSA office and training space, airport police services office, administrative offices, and board room are some other amenities. The new terminal parking will be able to accommodate over 300 vehicles.

The $12.5 million new terminal project was funded by the Federal Aviation Administration. The project also received funding from the Wyoming Division of Aeronautics and a State Loan and Investment Board grant.

The new terminal will be fully operational from 8 December 2010, and the old terminal at Yellowstone Regional Airport will be sold.
