Humanscale was founded in 1983 by CEO Robert King with a focus on high-performance tools that help support a healthy, more active way of working, Humanscale is now the global ergonomics leader with a reputation for designing intuitive products that improve the comfort and health of office workers.

Headquartered in New York, Humanscale made its first mark as a workplace ergonomics pioneer in the 1990s with the introduction of revolutionary articulating keyboard systems. Humanscale strengthened its status as a true market leader in 1999 with the introduction of the Freedom chair, created by renowned ergonomics designer Niels Diffrient. This innovative executive task chair broke new ground by bringing together unprecedented functionality with minimal manual controls. Humanscale followed suit with a series of Diffrient seating designs including Liberty, Diffrient World, and Smart chairs.

Humanscale has locations in more than 28 countries now and has even gained attention from Hollywood, with their products gracing the sets of hit television shows and films including 24, The Newsroom, New Girl, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Mission: Impossible III and The Bourne Ultimatum.

Ballo

Ballo is designer Don Chadwick’s vision of what a multipurpose stool should be—fun, engaging and perfect for short-term, active sitting in the home or office. With a compact central column and lightweight air-filled domes, Ballo is an imaginative take on traditional ball chairs, supporting flexibility and freedom of movement. Available in a variety of vibrant colours, Ballo has a dynamic nature that allows it to integrate into a wide range of environments.

FLOAT

Float is a revolutionary standing office desk that brings effortless operation to traditional sit-stand products. Ease of use is at the heart of Float, as it seamlessly adjusts between sitting and standing postures without interrupting workflow. With a minimal aesthetic, Float complements traditional offices and home workspaces.

Freedom Chair

A true design icon, the Freedom chair proves that ergonomics can be beautiful. Created by Niels Diffrient, Freedom automatically adjusts to every user. Available in two versions, the everyday Freedom Task and the executive Freedom Headrest.

Liberty Task

The Liberty Task chair is an intelligent mesh task chair engineered to provide automatic lumbar support for every user, as well offering simplicity and complete ease of use. Liberty was designed to offer a unique, minimal aesthetic and to provide custom comfort for every person who sits in it. Like Humanscale’s Diffrient Smart and Diffrient World chairs, Liberty uses Humanscale’s revolutionary Form-Sensing Mesh Technology and mechanism-free recline for perfect support and unprecedented comfort.

Monitor Arms – M2

Designed to suit a range of settings, the M2 allows the user to bring their work to them, versus having to adjust to a static monitor stand. M2’s articulating arm offers effortless height and depth adjustment for the majority of flat-panel screens available today, accommodating monitors up to 20 lbs.

Monitor Arms – M8

By redefining the capabilities of a monitor arm, Humanscale created the M8, which combines incredible weight capacity with a stylish, slim profile. Like all Humanscale monitor arms, the M8 allows the user to work in a healthy posture through setting one or multiple monitors at an optimal distance and height, collaborate easier through effortless screen sharing, and increase desk space.

QuickStand

The QuickStand height-adjustable workstation raises the bar for ease of use and stability among sit/stand products. QuickStand seamlessly transforms any fixed-height desk into an active one, promoting collaboration and well-being in the workplace. With weightless operation and a plug-and-play cable management system, QuickStand neatly attaches to the back of any work surface, placing the screen and keyboard in an ergonomically correct position for the user.
