Commitment to the environment is reflected throughout Kährs production, from its local timber sourcing, replanting initiatives and manufacturing methods, to the conversion of waste timber to bio-fuel, which heats its Swedish factory and neighboring homes. Even the ash from its heating plant is re-used as a nutrient-rich forest fertiliser.
All floors are designed by Kährs, in Sweden, and have a multi-layered construction which is based on the original 'parquet' design – invented and patented by Kährs in 1941. As well as using resources in the most nature-friendly way, the construction method also provides greater stability. During installation, Kährs glueless Woodloc® joint promotes speed and accuracy, and eliminates gapping throughout the lifetime of the floor.
Floors throughout Kährs' range are offered with complementary accessories, from skirting boards and handmade stairnoses, to underlays and membranes. A wide range of installation and maintenance products are also available, as well as stock and bespoke display systems and marketing materials. Comprehensive sales and product training workshops and CPD programmes are also available.
