The Soapworks refurbishment project has transformed a disused boiler house into a sustainable commercial building which provides 20,000 sq ft of office space. Designed by architect Shedkm, this development was completed in late 2011. Phase two of the project began in January 2013 and is on track to be finished by May 2014. This phase will offer cost efficient Grade A office space which is just a few miles from the city centre. External cladding contractors, ECL contracts specified and installed Kladfix KX03 horizontal support systems for this project.

Kladfix KX03 fittings have been used externally as part of the lift shaft area. Approximately 500 sq m support systems have been used on this project, supporting Eternit cladding boards. These fittings are suitable for concealed or mechanically fixed applications. The system includes the main horizontal rail, adjustable and fixed hangers. The KX03 Horizontal Kladfix channel profiles are fixed to the vertical profiles and the rainscreen cladding is then hung from and secured to the horizontal profiles with the hangers.
