ACO StormBrixx is already an award-winning piece of technology and has had a huge impact in the market place with the way it addresses issues faced by more traditional solutions. It uses brickbonding and crossbonding techniques for unrivalled stability and strength for fast construction and installation times. Such strength is critical for the high static and dynamic loads these underground systems are subjected to and ensures long term, reliable and efficient stormwater management.
BBA certification is an independent assessment process that upholds a universal acceptance as a ‘badge of quality’ across the construction sector. The certification followed demonstration of the various beneficial attributes of StormBrixx to an approval body.
ACO’s Stormbrixx is also one of the few systems available on the market designed and manufactured in accordance with CIRIA C680. This gives best practice for the structural design of modular geocellular drainage tanks. Whilst geocellular systems are not yet required to meet a specific European or British standard, BBA Certification does offer installers, specifiers and engineers a performance benchmark and gives them the confidence to look to ACO for any SuDS solution.
Stormbrixx also addresses fundamental issues of access and maintenance required by the forthcoming National Standards for SuDS, which cannot currently be met by most geocellular drainage systems.
