Playrite Tournament 18, was chosen for its natural ability to be used for a number of sports. Tournament 18 is a sand dressed, tufted knit de knit polypropylene pile yarn product that provides an excellent playing surface for sports including hockey and multi-sport use. With excellent durability and hardwearing properties, the surface will take the heavy use that the school demands of it. Tournament 18 is available with inlaid lines to mark out a range of different sports meets EN15330 part 1 and FIH approval.
The project was constructed from scratch on the site of an existing Tarmac playground. The new area has provided a much needed facility allowing all year round outdoor activity on a comfortable, hard wearing sports surface.
