The ‘Low Energy Know How’ events are free to attend and will provide attendees with the most recent information regarding the Zero Carbon Standard and will share practical advice to help industry professionals meet zero carbon targets. Saint-Gobain will also present information on a number of product solutions designed to meet the 2016 zero-carbon targets.
Stacey Temprell, Saint-Gobain’s Sector Director for Residential, said: "These events will highlight the importance of improving the energy efficiency of new homes if we are to achieve the zero carbon standard. Building better performing homes will not only make efficient use of available energy resources, helping to reduce fuel bills for the homeowner, it will create a more comfortable living environment for the occupant.
"We’re looking forward to future Low Energy Know How events, where we will continue to update on the challenges in the industry, while presenting practical solutions for constructing zero carbon homes."
The first ‘Low Energy Know How’ event will be held in Newcastle in collaboration with The Homes Community Agency, Your Homes Newcastle and Space Group on 3 February, and will present the most recent information on the Zero Carbon homes policy, the Performance Gap project and the cost of meeting the Zero Carbon Standard. The event will also look to the future, discussing the proposed Allowable Solutions schemes and the importance of retrofitting existing homes.
