The independent school needed to ensure the cost of the installation and maintenance of the 3,000m² area was kept to a minimum, so opted for the Playrite Tournament 18 product, ideal for the all year round use of the school’s tennis, football, netball and basketball teams. The tufted short pile surface with inlaid lines offers the school and its pupils a hardwearing surface which has a 10 year guarantee and is softer on the joints.

Cleveland Land Services, specialists in civil engineering, drainage, sports facilities construction and maintenance works, project managed and installed the entire facility. Andy Earnshaw comments on the project: “We have built and earned our excellent reputation of providing high quality services, to both public and private clients, so we must be sure that the product we are installing can live up to the job. We know that we can rely on Playrite and its product range, having worked with the company on various projects across the region.”

Chris Pickles, Playrite director added: “The Playrite Tournament 18 product is fantastic all-rounder, so is very popular with schools and colleges to offer multiple sporting choices to their students, but in the most cost-effective way possible.”

The project was completed three weeks ahead of schedule in August, 2010, ready for the new school term for all to enjoy.
