Finger protectors are an economical safety measure to prevent the accidental trapping of fingers between the hinged edge of the door and the door frame; they can be fitted easily and quickly to new or existing doors. Strand Hardware Ltd have listened to customer feedback and further enhanced the tried and tested FP200 and FP400 Finger Protectors.
Both products have the flexibility of suiting many door applications such as single, double action and automatic doors with the added availability of fixing options for glass doors. They have been tested to 1 million operating cycles resulting in a proven reliable performance and durability.
The already discreet design of the FP200 has been further developed to give a more contemporary looking extrusion; it is available in three standard housing finish options as well as any RAL colour to order. The device is easy to wipe clean and can be supplied with TouchClean™ antibacterial coating for extra peace of mind.
The design of the FP400 has been enhanced to be more contemporary and even less obtrusive with concealed fixings end caps to fully enclose the profile end. The FP400 comes in standard length of 1925mm an XL version is now available up to 2500mm, this suits the requirements of very thick doors or those with large projection hinges with improved travel of 320mm. The FP400 and FP400XL are offered as standard in three finishes with black fabric and are also available with six fabric colour options and can be supplied in any RAL colour. The flame retardant fabric is easy to wipe clean and TouchClean™ antibacterial coating can also be applied if required.
