The collection offers a kaleidoscope of 24 colours – with vibrant tones sitting alongside neutral shades, allowing designers to set the tone for energetic open spaces, meeting rooms or zoning in the workplace.

Inspired by woven textiles, Iconic’s design has been created using a unique tufting technique, which gives the tactile carpet tile hidden depths. The layered design brings together two contrasting hues to deliver dramatic, inspirational undertones that cut-through convention, adding intrigue and interest to flooring schemes. Adding further intrigue and impact, the all-over colour is interjected by concealed lines, which are subtly revealed from different vantage points in an interior space.

As expected from a Desso collection Iconic carries a positive sustainability message: available only with EcoBase™ backing, the carpet tile contains 100% up-cycled chalk from local drinking water companies. Thanks to its ECONYL® content, Iconic adheres to Desso’s Cradle-to-Cradle® philosophy, containing fully regenerated nylon yarn made from recovered waste materials, such as fishing nets and post-consumer yarn waste, from Desso’s Refinity® plant.

"The Iconic collection offers architects and designers a chance to look at flooring from a different perspective," comments Ludwig Cammaert, Design and Technical Development Director at Desso. "We designed this range to offer surprising possibilities for specifiers with a show-stopping result that demands a double-take. The environment is of course always a central focus for us, so it was important for us to make sure this collection came standard with the EcoBase™ backing that is 100% recyclable in Desso’s own production process."

All products in the Iconic range are certified Cradle to Cradle® Silver, ensuring that the products contribute positively to the environment, human health and are designed to be recycled in a non-toxic closed loop.
