With the data, AXOR and hansgrohe products can be visualised virtually and all relevant product information can be incorporated into every step of the building planning process. The data can be downloaded either from the manufacturer’s website pro.hansgrohe.co.uk/bim or from BIMobject for the AXOR brand at www.bimobject.com/en/AXOR, or for the hansgrohe brand at www.bimobject.com/en/hansgrohe.
Planning security in all data formats
BIM is a model-based process for digital building design, construction, realisation, operation and maintenance. To make work easier for planners, architects, building services engineers and developers, the Hansgrohe Group uses BIM to make available geometry and attribute data for fixtures, mixers, showers, shower systems and installation technology. The BIM models are depicted on an LOD 300 level of detail including all relevant information, precise measurements, materials and positioning. The company supports users of various planning software, as the data is supplied in the six established formats Revit, ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, IFC and 3DS.
"For our customers, we are taking a step further towards the future of digital, model-based building planning. By supplying BIM data for AXOR and hansgrohe products, we are investing in more planning security for all parties involved. Particularly in case of plan modifications, time-consuming reworking can be avoided. This is why we believe it is crucial to cover a wide range of our products and to make the data available in all established formats," explains Frank Semling, Member of the Executive Board of Hansgrohe SE and responsible for Supply Chain Management and Services.
BIM data for all AXOR and hansgrohe products
Initially, BIM data will be available for the many new products of the AXOR and hansgrohe brands introduced at ISH. Regular updates will ensure that the data is complete and current by providing BIM data for the entire product range and new products as they are launched. In this way, the Hansgrohe Group supports efficient co-ordination between all parties involved in the entire life cycle of the building beyond the construction stage.
