Extravagant colours are becoming increasingly popular in interiors, and Bette has created new effect colours which open up a multitude of possibilities for eye-catching bathroom design.

The first of these is its sparkling new effect colour, Midnight: a new shade of anthracite that has been combined with sparkling particles. It is being shown on the geometrically embossed BetteLoft Ornament freestanding bath.

The new effect colours join the huge colour choice offered by the Bette World of Colour. Hundreds of gloss and matt colours are available, as well as 22 exclusive matt colours that give bathroom designers the freedom to choose a Bette bath, washbasin or shower area to suit colour trends in tiles, natural stone and wooden floors.

At Clerkenwell Design Week, Bette will also be launching a new glazed titanium-steel bath. The new BetteStarlet Spirit is a classic bath with a refined, minimal bath rim that combines proven styling with modern lightness. The folded bath rim of only 8mm underscores the elegance of this timeless bath and the elegant line looks at home anywhere.

Bette will also be showing its minimal and flush-to-floor glazed titanium-steel shower area, BetteFloor Side, which is available in an extensive range of sizes and colours, including matt colours.

Bette’s baths, shower floors and washbasins are finished in a highly durable enamel which can be created in hundreds of different colours, and there is also the opportunity to colour-match ceramic items, such as tiles.

The glass-like BetteGlaze® surface of Bette baths, shower floors and washbasins is harder than marble, plastic or epoxy granite, non-porous, scratch-resistant and easy to clean. Dirt and chemicals/liquids cannot penetrate the surface, so can be simply wiped away. Even nail polish will not mark it. The durability and ease of cleaning are the reasons the majority of hotels choose glazed titanium-steel for their baths, and why Bette is able to offer a 30 year warranty on its glazed steel products.

All Bette products are made of strong and stable titanium-steel for superior strength and formability. This means that Bette can, for example, produce shower trays in very large sizes that remain extremely stable. The material also allows the creation of extremely slim rimmed baths that are also strong and stable.

Bette’s flexible manufacturing process means that customers can order bespoke sized products, such as a shower tray or fitted bath in the exact size required. The steel product can be trimmed or extended before enamelling so that it’s the exact size required.

Bette baths, shower floors and washbasins are made from entirely natural materials and are 100% recyclable. Bette has also invested heavily in green technologies at its factory in Germany and creates 2/3 of its energy requirements from renewable resources. Sustainability is central to Bette’s approach, and this is confirmed by the company‘s Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) which complies with ISO 14025 and EN15804.
