Pedrali, the 100% Made in Italy company leader in the production of contemporary design furniture, took part for the fourth time in NeoCon, the historic fair in Chicago considered a platform for launching innovative ideas and products that make public spaces flexible and avant-garde. On the occasion of the 54th edition, which was held from 12 to 14 June at the display spaces in The Mart, Pedrali presented chairs, tables and complements conceived for the office inside its U.S. showroom. The 300 square meter (3014 square foot) showroom located on the 3rd floor (suite 330) recreates various types of environments: modern and contemporary offices, meeting rooms, lounge and hospitality areas
The main theme of this year's edition of NeoCon, “Together We Design”, underlines the power of collaboration and aims to promote a positive change to explore innovative solutions for the future of design. The new workspace, in fact, represents an essential element of corporate culture, but in a hybrid balance between city, corporate space and home office, to convey a sense of belonging, while fostering continuous collaboration and interaction.
Within this constantly evolving scenario, the collections displayed in the Pedrali showroom bring to life settings that summarise the different areas of the contemporary office, with flexible, versatile and fluid workspaces, increasingly oriented towards the emotional well-being and creativity of those who work there. From the outside corridor, the display space can be seen through two large windows that showcase some of the latest collections
In the left area the protagonists of an informal workspace are Buddyhub and Buddyhub desk, designed by Busetti Garuti Redaelli. A collection that is functional and efficient, an isolated alcove that encourages concentration and ensures acoustic and visual privacy and creates dynamic compositions within lounge areas. It is characterised by a wrap-around, sound absorbing panel available in two different heights that envelops the seat in a sort of enclosed niche.
Complementing the workstations Polar, designed by Jorge Pensi Design Studio, available both as a chair and as an armchair, is a task chair that with its organic form is designed to adapt to the human body, ensuring the well-being of its users. A dynamic object with a clear identity, it can fit into a variety of settings such as offices, multipurpose spaces and even homes, as they evolve and become increasingly hybrid.
The new version of the executive armchair presented in 2018 by Claudio Bellini is used to recreate an executive office, alongside the table from the same collection. Elinor Low Back incorporates the different attitudes and approaches to working life looking to the future: it is dynamic and designed with people’s wellbeing in mind. Its visual styling is essential yet distinctive, and offers excellent performance thanks to its smart components which make it state-of-the-art yet inconspicuous, as they are integrated into the seat. Elinor Low Back has an elegant height-adjustable base in die-cast aluminium, with aesthetically pleasing sinuous lines.
Hevea also fits into this area, it is a versatile furnishing element designed by Victoria Azadinho Bocconi that offers layouts and green walls in work and hospitality spaces and brings nature into residential, contract settings and hospitality spaces. This pot-holder consists of a central steel stem to which the polypropylene pots are hanged.
A new scenario that emerges influencing the design choices in the office plan is the increasing focus on outdoor areas. The central area of the showroom stages a coffee bar, hosting various products that are an expression of conviviality. In fact, this area also includes the Souvenir chairs and armchairs by Eugeni Quitllet. Available as a chair and as an armchair, Souvenir reinterprets the classic green chairs of the parisian gardens. Souvenir is available also in the recycled grey version, realised in recycled polypropylene: 50% from plastic material post-consumer waste and 50% from plastic material industrial waste.
In the Blume collection designed by Sebastian Herkner, a chair, a lounge, and set of coffee tables characterised by a soft, rounded shape, the distinctive strength emerges from a sophisticated extruded aluminium profile with a flower-shaped silhouette. The table, the latest element of the collection presented at the Salone del Mobile 2023, has a modern decorative look that makes it suitable for both living and contract spaces.

In an office area consisting of several workstations, for which dynamic and configurable furnishing solutions were chosen, is Toa designed by Robin Rizzini, a table that combines a technical and industrial style with a decorative allure, giving life to a product that is both functional and evocative. Toa's main features are its tapered bridge legs made of die-cast aluminium, which are thinner at the base and widen up towards the “T” element that supports the top.
The scene also includes Babila XL armchairs, designed by Odo Fioravanti, that stand out for the large dimensions of their seats and armrests, offering greater seating comfort thanks to the removable lining that, reminiscent of a woman’s dress, makes it completely removable so that it may be cleaned, maintained and separated from the rest of the product with ease. Babila is a collection able to move along tradition and innovation with great agility that this year celebrates ten years. The strenght of this collection lies in its simplicity and directness, to recall a timeless shape.
Elinor Collection by Claudio Bellini find space in a sophisticated executive office paired with Ester armchairs by Patrick Jouin, a perfect blend of elegance and functionality. The soft and sinuous shapes and exceptionally comfortable seat contribute to defining the identity of the spaces. 2023 marks for Pedrali the tenth year of collaboration with the world-renowned French designer Patrick Jouin. The partnership started in 2013 and reflects the combination of the creative expression of the designer and the know-how of the Italian company.
