The clean room grid system is a co-extruded aluminium section with an integrated gasket seal and a 24 mm face width. The wide range of metric profiles includes a main runner with a stake-on clip connection, hook cross tees and a unique 24x24mm perimeter trim with the a unique integrated gasket seal for a better seal between the tile and grid system.
The clean room grid limits an accumulation of dust and micro organisms and inhibits the growth of bacteria, yeast and mould like E-coli, MRSA, Streptococcus Pneumoniae, Aspergillus Niger, Bacillus Cereus, Candida Albicans, Acinebacter Baumanii and Klebsiella Pneumoniae.
The clean room ceiling grid can easily be cleaned with a diluted disinfectant that contains active agents like Chlorine, Hydrogen Peroxide and Quaternary Ammonium.
The clean rooms ceiling performance is guaranteed for the life-time of the grid as long as the surface is intact. Each perimeter tile should be fixed with a minimum of 4 hold-down clips for a 600 x 600 tile and 5 hold-down clips for a 1200 x 600 tile. Air tightness can be reinforced along the perimeter trim, by using silicone or mastic.
If it is necessary that the ceiling tile remains accessible from below, steel access clip should be used, but not in a MRI environment.
