The hotel was closed down three years ago. However, with the aid of a public private partnership with Restoration St. Louis, the aging hotel is ready to get a total overhaul.
The hotel’s 130 rooms will be renovated and refurbished. New exclusive apartments and several amenities such as a bowling alley and swimming pool would also feature in the upgradation. The ground floor would be used as retail and restaurant space.
Amy Gill of Restoration St. Louis has said that the restoration of this hotel is interesting as the hotel is filled with antiquated things.
The hotel’s renovation work would be complete by the end 2010.
