The $3 million renovation of the Park Avenue Campus baseball stadium is on going and is scheduled for completion by October 2009. The $1.5 million Frank L. Flautt Golf Center construction is moving as per schedule.
The $2 million, 12,000 square feet football weight room construction is expected to begin soon. An artificial turf football practice field will replace the existing practice field, and the new facility is expected to cost between $600,000 and $1 million.
Renovation of the women’s basketball team’s locker room is in the planning stages and the project may cost about $750,000. The locker room will designed to be a two level structure with a grand entrance.
The $1.8 million additions made to the men’s basketball practice facility is about to be completed. Renovations to the 1972-built Nat Buring Stadium, is also under consideration.
The Flautt Golf Center will be opened soon and only landscaping work is left to be done. The 7,000 square feet indoor facility features a video teaching area, player study hall areas, locker rooms and offices for men’s and women’s coach.
A proposed tennis complex construction is under the planning stages. The complex will features 12 outdoor courts, player locker rooms, coaches’ offices, covered seating and scoreboards.
