The most expensive renovation project to be undertaken is a $114 million rental-car facility with 1,800 capacity parking lot slated for completion by 2012. The exterior facade of the airport will receive a $9 million makeover along with a $21 million upgrade to the interior of the airport.

The interior renovation will also undertake improvements to the flight information display system. Interior and exterior renovations will both be financed by the passenger facility charge. The current gray exterior is proposed to be replaced mostly with glass.

The concourses will be widened to be fit for allowing wider planes. Concourse D will be expanded by six gates and will also feature new food and retail stores and restrooms, at a cost of $40.5 million. The $34 million west terminal expansion will add five gates, ticket counters, security screening and baggage facilities.
