The renovation and expansion project also includes the installation of a bank of solar panels on the roof. The 100kW turbine would be placed above a tower that has been built by US-based renewable energy company Alteris.
The South Burlington TV station WCAX was on site with Alteris Renewable at Heritage Aviation’s General Aviation Facility as the nacelle and blades for their newly installed Northwind 100 turbine were put in to place. Heritage Aviation will be the first general aviation facility in the US boasting this complete renewable energy solution.
