With the approval of the bonding package, the project which has a budget of $75 million would begin the construction work in the month of April 2010.
The project seeks to expand the size of the terminal from 15,000 square meters to 28,000 square meters. The project also entails the renovation of about 1,000 square meters of existing space.
Funds for the renovation are being taken from the airport fees and from the federal money.
The estimated date for the completion of this project is February 2012.
