The new Yankee Stadium is a baseball stadium constructed to replace the previous 1923-built Yankee Stadium. Sentry has delivered a range of lamp posts included poles and luminaries.

The lamp post installation project forms a part of a billion dollar landscape design scheme. Fixtures have been installed around the outside of the stadium and along the walkways. The lamps carry signposts that direct fans to various gates, and some of them display banners bearing images of famous players.

Sentry’s popular SLR Riverside tulip style luminaries are mainly used for the project. It illuminates a three mile stretch of Manhattan’s Riverside Drive. Decorated in bas-relief around its dome with tulip contour and restrained bas-relief detailing, the lamps offers highest efficiency in lumen output, service life and energy use. SLR Riverside tulip style luminaries feature high-strength cast aluminum structure and polycarbonate or acrylic globe.

Much of the new stadium incorporates design elements from the previous Yankee Stadium, paying homage to the Yankees’ history. The stadium opened in April 2001, cost a total of $1.5 billion, making it the second most expensive stadium in the world after Wembley Stadium.
