Nicholas designed spa features silk panels hanging in layers from the ceiling. As part of the design, the visitors are led from the dark corridor of the hotel past the silk layers to a circular waiting room. The waiting room in the center of the space is designed like a cocoon, which is lit by soft lights.
The spa features treatment rooms that have warm wooden walls and timber shelves linked to the ceiling by metal poles. The design of the space is based on the lining of floating layers of Koishimaru silk, a core value of the SENSAI brand. SENSAI is a high prestige cosmetic brand of Kanebo which is mainly developed in Europe.
