The newly-opened outpatient clinic features a new waiting room, which will be shared by the emergency room and the outpatient clinics. The area also features a smaller and more private area for patient consultations. There will be separate waiting areas for therapy, radiology and acute care units. Earlier there was a large waiting area for the entire hospital. Podiatry, which had been part of the outpatient clinics, will now have its own area on the hospital’s lower level.
The hospital continues work on its renovation, which is expected to complete by mid 2010.
Mike Riege, the hospital administrator, said that the renovation project has run full-steam through the winter and is almost complete and only some cleanup in and around the parking areas is left.
