Renovation project is currently underway and is expected to be completed soon, with the grand opening function to be held on March 25, 2010.
The $1.05 million renovation mainly comprised upgrading the building to meet current building codes. Most of the work was funded through an $800,000 grant from the Golden LEAF Foundation.
The facility has received a new roof, a new heating and air conditioning system, as well as renovated interiors. The building now features a main assembly room, office space, small and large conference rooms as well as upgraded restrooms. The project has added two dressing rooms at restrooms for the rear stage area. Parking is featured in a graded gravel lot on the right side of the building.
The renovations aimed to make the building more accessible, especially for the handicapped. The stage is also designed to be handicapped-accessible. The renovated armory is renamed as Warren County Armory Civic Center.
