The 220,000 square feet seven-story Patient Pavilion has added 27,000 square feet area to the Cancer Center. It features new clinical space and has added advanced tertiary services and a new CT simulator. A separate area has been constructed for radiation and chemotherapy patients. The new building also features a cancer resource library and additional office space for oncology services.

The surgical services department features six state-of-the-art operating rooms, satellite pharmacy, and pathology labs. It also has an onsite blood bank. The family waiting area and the recovery room space have been expanded. The Pavilion has increased the inpatient bed capacity by 88.

The emergency department has got an added 21,000 square feet area with this expansion. It features ten bed observation area, 26 acute treatment rooms, and three new trauma rooms. The critical heart patients will have a designated area. The department will also have a ‘Fast Track’ area, which will deal with minor medical issues.

The entrance of the hospital is reconstructed and redesigned. It features separate areas for arrival and departure. In the third floor, the workstations of the nurse and physician will be outside patient rooms. All rooms are Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant and feature three zones. The waiting areas offer wireless Internet access and blankets and pillows. They also have food and beverage carts. The fifth and sixth floor will add 24 beds per floor, which will be will be used for medical-surgical patients.

The building has used water conservation methods like low-flush toilets in order to make it environment-friendly. It features special lighting, which reduces light pollution. The building has also used non-toxic materials.
