This Electric Murphy Bed is an elevator bed imported from German bed maker LiftBed Company. The electric motor-controlled king size bed is designed to be highly space-saving and hides away in the ceiling with a push button remote control. The remote control requires a two-finger locking safety action.
The new bed is different from the conventional Murphy bed that folds from the wall. The new bed takes up no space and ascends to store flush with the ceiling, when not in use. The aluminum frame has a built-in lath floor for mattress support. As a safety feature, the bed will not operate if more than 20 pounds is added to its empty weight.
