The slated cost for the renovation and upgrades of the facilities is INR87.5 million ($1.97 million approx.).
Post renovation the hotel would include a theme-based party room, which is slated to have a total capacity of 100. It will also include two conference rooms with a capacity of 60 person each. The first floor will house a health club while a lounge bar with discotheque facilities will be located in the basement, which is currently not in use. The top floor will have a new rooftop terrace restaurant with views of the city and hills.
The centrally air-conditioned hotel has 104 rooms and four suites with attached balconies, running hot and cold purified water, direct dial telephones and private balconies.
Tenders for the proposed renovations have already been floated by the Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation Limited (CITCO). The renovations are said to add a contemporary look to the hotel.
