The heat recovery ventilation unit for domestic applications is BRE approved and SAP Appendix Q listed.

The Q-Vent HR 160 achieves very high efficiency heat recovery with the inclusion of a counterflow heat exchanger. An installer’s commissioning panel allows infinitely variable air extract rates to be set accurately to give close control of air supply and extraction rates on both normal and boost settings. This is essential to provide the correct balance between heating and ventilation as over or under ventilation will result in less efficient use of energy.

For boost activation and summer mode settings, a number of optional controls are available to the occupier. The unit can also be wired to facilitate other boost settings such as a humidistat. The high heat recovery rates of 90% are substantially higher than some other heat recovery products available for domestic applications. This has been achieved through the inclusion of the counterflow heat exchanger and innovative design. Additional energy efficient operation has also been achieved with the inclusion of EC fan motors. BMS system compatible, the Q-Vent HR 160 is a very high efficient addition to the existing range of Johnson and Starley heat recovery ventilation units.
