The 100-year old Neighborhood House of Christ Church functioned as a settlement house for a long time and is now making its come back as a fully accessible performing-arts venue and a community meeting facility.

The final phase of contraction has been completed, which involved installation of air-conditioning, new theater lighting, and acquisition of a portable dance floor.

The revamped Neighborhood House features a 200-seat black-box theatre, a smaller hall dedicated for musical events, an exhibition space, and expanded space for the Christ Church archives. The Neighborhood House has been undergoing gradual renovation and reconstruction for about a decade. The final phase is being funded by a $329,000 grant from the William Penn Foundation.

The Christ Church Preservation Trust, a non-profit organization, was created in 1965 to ensure the preservation, restoration and maintenance of historic Christ Church, Neighborhood House and the Christ Church Burial Ground.
