The house can sense the prevailing temperature and can act accordingly by opening or closing the window. The climate control system of the house has incorporated sensors in the floors and walls to measure temperature and send it to the server, which then automatically opens or closes the windows as per the temperature requirement. This system has also been connected to a weather station for predicting weather conditions.

The eco-friendly house incorporates New Zealand-grown timber pulled from the forest by draught horses, woolen insulation and solar panels. The house has a duct that pumps warm air from the wood burner in the living room to bedrooms. The house also features a large water tank, which will enable the collection of rain water.

The site of the house’ site smells of natural wood and wool as the timber used in its construction has not been treated with potentially toxic chemicals.
