The Ortem Sogo induction cooking system features a compact design with an electronic LED display and digital timer control. The soft control panel ensures easy operation. A high quality ceramic induction cooking plate with high temperature resistance and even cooking is also featured. It comes with 10 power options for different types of cooking, 10 temperature adjustments from 60ºc – 270ºc and seven cooking functions such as cook, steam, stew, hot pot, fry, keep warm, and auto shut-off for over heat and excess voltage protection.
The new Ortem Sogo Digital Induction Cooking system uses Induction Heating (I.H.) technology for quick and uniform heating, which is considered as more energy- and cost-efficient form of cooking.
According to Rummy Chabbra, MD of Metro Ortem, the launch of Digital Induction Cooking Systems marks the first step of the company’s entry into the home appliances segment. The new induction cooker is designed to target the mid segment and mass market with the distinct objective to redefine the induction cooking system market in India. Ortem Sogo has been specially designed to suit Indian cooking requirements.
The unit has a retail price of INR3, 650 ($80).
