After being stalled for more than two years, the renovation work was resumed in March 2010. The 430,000 square feet mall, under the new ownership of Murrells Retail Associates, has received an extensive upgrade inside and outside, featuring a stucco exterior and new signs.
The renovation also includes new floors throughout the concourse and enhancements to the ceiling and skylights. Outside the mall, the entryways are remodelled and new signs are installed. The gaps in the ceiling and exposed metal frames have also been rectified.
The main attraction at the mall, the new 12-screen movie theatre, is being developed in association with Frank Entertainment. The theatre is a state-of-the-art facility with Sony surround sound, Sony play-station, new leather rocker seats, flip-up armrests, wall-to-wall screens and 3D capability.
