The renovation work includes construction of a new terminal spanning 27,000 square metres, a new 77,000 square metres apron, a control tower, ground handling facilities, fuel storage and parking lots.

Once the construction, is complete, the airport will cover an area of 104,000 square meters and will feature a car park with a capacity of 1,750 vehicles.

Under the agreement, the consortium will invest €140 million ($178 million) in the airport. The consortium, 90% owned by Limak and 10 % by Aéroport de Lyon, will have the authority to operate the Pristina International Airport for 20 years and will pay a percentage of their profits to the government.
