The new surgery tower addition to JCMC spans 98,000 square feet. The multi-storey building is designed to house new operating rooms, pre-op and post-op areas, a reception area, and administrative spaces.
HKS has designed the new centre by connecting it to the nature through terraced gardens, offering views to the surrounding mountains. The new facility will contain 16 operating rooms, replacing 15 currently in use. The new spacious operating rooms are equipped with modern technologies such as robotics. The surgery centre addition will also create a new front door for surgery, cardiology, and ICU patients as well as for visitors to the south side of the hospital.
