Besides having a longer hull length, the new model also features some new design trends. The longer hull has been integrated to accommodate an extended cockpit seating area. More headroom above the bed in the crew cabin is also added. Another distinctive feature of the new yacht is a panoramic window that runs through the entire length of the yacht, offering a clear view of the ocean. The new Fairline Squadron 58 features a sliding door patio offering access to the cockpit and saloon.

The full beam master stateroom features a cabin-width wardrobe to fulfill all the storage needs. It also features a sleek design and a high level of functionality. The Fairline Squadron 58 has a lifeboat to enhance the safety level.

A number of highly functional objects such as the chart table, engine controls, fire extinguisher system, searchlight controls, and drink holders are also incorporated in the yacht. The cockpit console features battery condition indicators and an autopilot system with a colour display.

The predecessors to this new 58ft yacht are Squadron 55 and 58, launched in 1995 and 2000 respectively. The forthcoming Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show will be held at Excel London from 7-16 January 2011.
