The new Wright Memorial Hospital campus comprises a 60,000 square feet hospital in addition to a 12,000 square feet medical office building. The hospital has a capacity of 25 beds.

The new facility has been designed with a view to enhance patient experience and features a patient-centred design offering additional comfort and convenience throughout. The hospital features two labour and delivery suites for expectant parents with private bathrooms and a secure nursery area. The private inpatient rooms in the hospital come with handicap accessible bathrooms with walk in showers.

The new facility includes digital mammography suites, a 64 slice CT scanner, two surgical suites and a round-the-clock emergency department with trauma bay and private ambulance entrance. Planning for the new facility began more than five years ago.

The hospital will also feature latest medical technology including an electronic intensive care unit (eICU) that will open in late 2011 and an electronic medical records system that is expected to be installed in 2012.

Located southeast of Trenton, Missouri, the new hospital is located adjacent to U.S. Highway 65, offering improved access for patients and emergency vehicles. The hospital is set for a community opening on 10 April 2011 while patients are scheduled to be transferred to the new facility beginning 12 April 2011.

The board, made up of representatives from the J.B. Wright Charitable Trust, Citizens Bank & Trust, Saint Luke’s Health System and the local community, were involved in every aspect of the project.
