The new stadium will have a capacity to seat 18,000 spectators in a horseshoe-shaped seating arrangement with an upper deck, a video scoreboard, a two-tier press box and concession stands along with an arts auditorium, training room and indoor practice arena for the golf team.
The new facility also includes 1500 additional parking spaces bringing the total parking capacity on Allen High School’s campus to 4500. The event level of the stadium will host the home and visitor locker rooms, wrestling room, golf practice area and equipment storage area. The two-level press box will feature an observation deck and film deck.
The funding for the new stadium comes from a $119 million bond approved by a public vote in Allen. The stadium is scheduled for completion in mid-2012 with the first game scheduled for August 2012.
