Featuring a gross area of eight million square feet, the Hatten City project blends six unique themed developments comprising retail units, residences, hotels, an office tower, a resort and a shopping complex. The development is planned to be completed in two parcels over the next eight years.
The main components of Parcel 1 will be a shopping mall christened Elements and Silverscape, a 45-storey condominium tower. The Elements Mall will be housed in a building along with two international hotels. Spanning 2.4 million gross area, the mall features a design that blends heritage with high fashion. The mall will include a Time Tunnel which will showcase the 500-year old history of Malacca. The mall is inspired by Dongdaemun and Namdaemun, the Korean fashion hubs concepts.
Elements mall is an inspiring blend of retail and recreation, comprising eight retail floors, with each floor dedicated to a particular segment of fashion or arts and crafts. The fashion floors offering both national and international brands are housed from floors 1-5 while the top three floors are occupied by restaurants. The first five floors offer 830 retail units with areas ranging from 120 square feet to 11,000 square feet.
Silverscape is the tallest condominium towers of 45 storeys in Melaka and facing the Straits of Melaka. This residential component of Parcel 1 occupies two of the four tower blocks that make up Parcel I, offering luxury sea front living. Silverscape sits directly above the Elements mall starting from Level 14, towering over the Melaka city centre. The building features a roof top lounge with an open sky deck while the 45th floor features a pool terrace built around open gardens.
Parcel 2 of Hatten City, occupying 4.7ha of reclaimed land, will include Ivory Cove, a mixture of sea-front apartments and villas; Hatten Resort; Prime Tower, a contemporary business zone; High Street, a multiplex and shopping area and Broadwalk, a luxury shopping haven.
Hatten Group plans to complete Parcel 1 by September 2014, while Parcel 2 is scheduled for completion by 2019.
