The new boutique will offer fashion jewelry and accessories, watches and home décor objects. Spanning 940 square-feet, the store will feature Crystal Forest retail design concept, which was created in collaboration with Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka.
The Mall at Short Hills will be the first Crystal Forest store in New Jersey. The Crystal Forest concept highlights Swarovski’s crystal-cutting expertise, unique craftsmanship, creativity and innovation. The new boutique will feature textured walls including reflective white prisms to create the illusion of an organic crystal forest.
The new boutique also features stainless steel prism exterior elements; two crystal strand panels flanking the store entrance; white lacquer and mirror stainless steel finishes; and floating window boxes that allow for unique, eye-catching displays of Swarovski’s crystal accessories. The store also features a combination of horizontal and vertical showcases featuring LED lighting from various directions.
The Crystal Forest design concept made its global debut in Tokyo’s Ginza district in March 2008. In November 2009, Swarovski opened its first Crystal Forest store in the US at Chicago’s Michigan Avenue.
Swarovski has more than 240 boutiques in the US and a global reach with more than 1,900 retail outlets in 120 countries in all major fashion capitals around the world. In addition to the Mall at Short Hills location, Swarovski has 14 other locations in New Jersey.
