Located on the boardroom in the facility’s first storey, Azul Limon or the “blue lemon” is positioned in a recess in the wall covering the entire length of the room. The piece incorporates a stylish and minalistic look donning shades of blue and yellow. Ocean rock in white and beige tones and coral sand has been incorporated in the aquarium to offer an oceanic flavour.
Azul Limon has been fitted with a blue florescent and layered lighting system comprising 2 x 38 watt actinic-blue fluorescent tubes and six submersible LED lamps. The luminaires are on an automated timer with remote control. The LED lamps are placed below the air stones creating lighted up air columns which generate a subtle lighting effect when the main lights in the tank are turned off. The fascia of the piece is formed of high gloss with laminated HDF panels in white tones which negate noise transfer from the aquarium life support equipment. Presence of two yellow-coloured fish species in the aquarium serves as a contrast to the blue-hued light fixtures.
The aquarium is completely automated. It measures 2.5 metres in length and has a water storage capacity of about 500l. There is also an auto feeder which facilitates feeding the fishes two times per day.
