The project, which will be developed by Willoughby’s Marous Brothers Construction, will transform the Crowne Plaza hotel into a Westin. Work will involve refurbishment of all the guest rooms of the facility, along with a makeover of its meeting and public areas spanning over 25,000 square feet. The building will also be equipped with a new roof, and new energy-efficient windows following the overhaul. Further, its exterior portion will receive an extensive remodelling.

The revamped facility will house a total of 481 rooms. Among its various features include a staircase encompassing two floors, a business centre, a fitness centre, a spa, and a signature Sage Restaurant Group concept comprising outdoor dining area.

The project will receive contributions of $36 million from the Cleveland International Fund. The upgraded hotel is scheduled to reopen by July 2013.
