The facility imbibes several eco-friendly elements. These include installation of skylights in the dining space and windows in the kitchen. These, coupled with installation of energy-saving appliances, have led to a 14% reduction in its energy consumption.
The kitchen and bathrooms of the restaurant have been equipped with low-flow fixtures. The facility also incorporates an underground cistern for storing rainwater which is later used to meet irrigation needs of its landscape. All these measures help the facility reap 40% water cost cuts over other Chick-fil-A restaurants.
All cardboard and foam cups utilised in the facility are reclaimed. Use of building materials with zero harmful gas emission adds to the sustainability by providing 30% more fresh air compared to a traditional building. Other green features include use of 20% of reclaimed materials during construction, and diversion of over 50% of construction debris from reaching landfills.
