The Roshek Building, encompassing nine floors, is the first building in Dubuque to bag the certification. The revamped facility houses the new Technology Services Delivery Centre spanning more than 130,000 square feet. The building also features an additional 10,000 square feet of ground floor commercial area, along with office area covering 63,000 square feet to serve non-profit and start-up businesses.

The makeover led to incorporation of various green elements in the building. These include installation of energy-saving features in its walls, windows, roof as well as mechanical systems. The interior of the remodelled building has been designed to allow maximum penetration of natural light and views of the surrounding area.

The interior of the facility has also been equipped with high-performance thermal comfort and ventilation units. There has also been extensive use of eco-friendly materials throughout the interior. The facade of the building has been kept intact in its original form post refurbishment.
