The new building, to be constructed south of Friedsam Library, will span over an area of 26,000 square feet. The centre will comprise a financial services lab fitted with electronic ticker tape, a corporate boardroom, as well as multiple advanced classrooms.
Among the various other features of the facility include break-out areas, areas for student collaboration, team building, and faculty research, along with a dean’s suite. In addition, the building will abide by a host of green features.
The university is carrying out a $15 million campaign for the building out of which $10 million has been earmarked for its construction, $4 million in endowments for faculty and programmatic support, and $1 million in endowment for the property’s sustainability. An amount of $13 million has already been raised. The facility is due to open by 2013 end.
