The new building is designed by FGM Architects and will be constructed by MTI Construction Services. The new facility will span over an area of 36,500 square feet and will be equipped with a host of advanced features complying by existing safety requirements to offer better public safety.
The new property will also imbibe several green features. It will be equipped with efficient lighting fixtures and other systems which run low on energy consumption. Use of reclaimed materials during the design and construction process will add to the sustainability. The facility will also incorporate paving materials to cut down chances of flooding.
Construction on the new police station is due for completion by mid-2013.
