The five-acre property comprises 560 patient rooms, 33 advanced operating rooms, as well as spacious adult and pediatric emergency units. It also features healing gardens, an interactive television network, and a 30,000 square feet kitchen.

The Zayed Tower will accommodate the Johns Hopkins Heart and Vascular Institute along with advanced neurological and neurosurgical services, transplant surgery, trauma care, orthopedics, general surgery and labour and delivery. It possesses 355 private patient rooms including 224 rooms dedicated for acute care, 96 for intensive care, and 35 for labour and delivery. The building’s rooftop features a helistop.

The Charlotte R. Bloomberg Children’s Centre features 205 private rooms and 10 surgical suites dedicated for pediatric patients. The facility has sleeping accommodations in patient rooms, kitchen and laundry facilities on pediatric floors, a two-level playroom comprising a basketball court, and a TV studio.

The exterior of both the towers incorporate shimmering walls of glass and steel with colours inspired by the works of Monet. The facility also incorporates 11 large sculptures by set designer Robert Israel, pictorial window shades, 300 paintings inspired by popular children’s books, over 200 nature-inspired works.
