The hotel has been designed by Altiplan Architects with its interior designed by Norwegian designer Trond Ramsokar. The hotel sports a contemporary style with an open-plan concept featuring bright, airy spaces. It houses 405 guestrooms and 37 large one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments encompassing eight levels.
The facility comprises ten mixed-use conference rooms with a capacity to house up to 300 in theatre-style. The largest conference room can be segregated into three smaller rooms to serve dinners, conferences, weddings and cocktail parties. The design of the meeting and conference rooms maximise natural light penetration and have installed audio and technical equipment. One of the meeting rooms has been particularly built to serve video conferences.
The hotel accommodates The Twelve restaurant. It has a seat capacity of 220 with an adjacent room offering another 130 spaces. There is also a terrace garden which provides an additional 60 seats for the restaurant. The design of the terrace draws reference to a Moroccan riad. Among the property’s other features include a 900 square-metre shopping gallery named the Thon Passage, a lounge bar, advanced fitness centre, and an underground car parking space.
Thon Hotel EU has been equipped with several green features such as solar panels and mixing valves for eco-friendly showers. It also generates its own energy on site and promotes recycling.
