The project, designed by Chicago’s PSA-Dewberry, will lead to an increase of 10,000 square feet in the size of the current 41-year-old facility which spans 33,000 square feet. The revamped facility will offer large bookshelf space, including new meeting as well as study rooms.

The building will be equipped with new air conditioning unit, additional computers, e-books and audio-visual materials following the makeover. There will also be creation of extra quiet reading space while the building will be enclosed in a contemporary and efficient structure featuring courtyards.

The refurbished facility is due to open doors by 2013 end or early 2014.
