The store, originally opened in 1994, now features an upgraded layout with features such as wider aisles, and alignment of the departments most frequently visited by the customers. It has increased in size by over 100,000 square feet its existing size following the expansion.
The facility now comprises a bakery, a cafeteria, a coffee bar, as well as an expanded electronics department. Among its other features include department for apparel and accessories, health and beauty aids, a luggage shop, a Disney shop, a bike centre with accessories, a pharmacy, a digital photo processing centre, and a Walmart Connect Centre.
An unique design feature of the property is a mural created by local artist Carlos Augusto which is suspended above the cafeteria and deli area. The mural draws reference to the Miami skyline and the multicultural community of Doral.
