The new facility will sprawl over a 9.9 acre site in the West Hawaii Business Park in Honokakau. The new medical building will encompass a total area of 40,000 square feet and will replace the existing building of the healthcare provider at Kailua-Kona.
The new facility will accommodate 30 exam rooms, 20 provider offices, a pharmacy, optical sales, general radiology, mammography, clinical lab blood draw stations, procedure rooms, physical therapy space and behavioral health services.
Construction on the scheme is scheduled to commence in 2012 and is planned for completion by early 2014. Kaiser Permanente Hawaii anticipates serving about 22,000 members located on the Big Island.
