Hotel La Tour in Birmingham features Morgan’s original furniture pieces

Morgan Furniture has produced around 560 pieces of seating and tables for the 4-start Hotel La Tour, which opened in the first quarter of 2012. The company has installed contemporary, luxurious and comfortable furniture sets for the reception, lounge, bar and dining rooms of the hotel. The furniture for the hotel was designed in consultation with the hotel’s Design Director, Adrian Colman and interior contractors, Dragonfly.

The seating of these areas are soft and comfortable, which add to the comfort of the guests. The company has used 11 in-house original, inspired collections.

The hotel operator also asked the manufacturer to design some individual products based on their collections. One such product is ultra high back Opera 169 chair, which has been placed in the lobby of the hotel. The product has iterated many aspects from its predecessor Opera 168AU and are teamed with oval coffee tables from the Trevi collection.

For banquet seating, the hotel opted for extended length Hampton sofas with vibrant red bolster cushions which act as informal dividers. The communal area of the hotel has various kinds of seating, which consist of armchairs, armless side chairs, two-seater sofas and modular combinations.

The Aalto restaurant of the hotel has Pastille dining chairs of the brand. The fully upholstered Pastille has circular seat and gently curved back, with both armrest and without armrest. It has flared timber legs. The chairs are teamed with large, four column and smaller, single pedestal timber Diva Collection tables.

The hotel bar has Diva bar stools, which are created using velvet and leather upholstery. The guest accommodation and City Rooms have lounge and desk chairs from the City collection of Morgan Studio. The City range is modern, sharp and minimal and strike a balance between form and function.

The Executive Rooms of the hotel feature Siena daybed covered in an elegant, raised-pattern fabric and work comfortably seated in a Chevy small armchair. The Superior Rooms have armchairs with luxurious foam and feather seat cushions from the Verona collection. The Suites feature Verona sofas and corner units.
